Pregnant for third time? Angelina Jolie: Not true.

Actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrive for the New York Film Festival premiere of "Changeling" in New York October 4, 2008.

Nov. 27 -- Angelina Jolie has been forced to deny she is pregnant again following tabloid reports suggesting the actress is expecting her fourth biological child with Brad Pitt, according to World Entertainment News Network.

Speculation surrounding a reported pregnancy has dogged the Hollywood supercouple in recent months - rumors which were denied by the Oscar winner's publicist earlier this month.

Publication In Touch magazine - who broke the news Jolie was expecting twins earlier this year - has most recently claimed Jolie is pregnant again, reporting that the actress announced the happy news to a waiter in a London restaurant after he tried to pour her an alcoholic drink.

But the Tomb Raider star's representative, Geyer Kosinski, refutes the reports, telling Usweekly.com the claims are "not true".

However, Jolie continuously refused to confirm she was pregnant with her twins, Knox and Vivienne - even when she was sporting a huge pregnancy bump.

The news was later confirmed at the Kung Fu Panda premiere in Cannes in May after co-star Jack Black revealed all during a TV interview.

Britney Spears' "Circus" act caught on Web

Nov. 26 -- One week ahead of its release in stores, "Circus," the new album from Britney Spears, has been posted on the Web at imeem.com where fans can listen to it for free.

The album features 13 tracks by the pop star, including the now familiar "Womanizer," which was previously released, as well as other songs such as "My Baby," "Unusual You" and "Kill the Lights."

Releasing songs on the Web increasingly is being used to promote musicians and their work ahead of an album release, and Spears' "Circus" is among the most anticipated CDs of this year as she rebounds from a tumultuous 2007 and early 2008.

Spears, 26, went through a bitter custody battle over her two sons last year, exhibited strange behavior in public and by early 2008 was hospitalized twice for psychiatric evaluation. But in recent months her father, Jamie Spears, has assumed control of her business and personal affairs, and Spears seems to have turned her life around. The ability to complete and promote "Circus" is an indicator of her apparent health.

The full album will be released in stores on December 2, Spears' 27th Birthday.

Imeem has previously released music from recording artists including Fall Out Boy, U2, Lil Wayne and The Rolling Stones.

Jennifer Aniston on Mayer's proposal: No!

Nov. 26 -- Jennifer Aniston has reportedly turned down John Mayer's marriage proposal.

The former "Friends" star - who recently rekindled her relationship with "Gravity" singer John after a brief split earlier this year - is said to have declined John's offer because she doesn't want to damage their relationship.

A source said: "Jennifer said no when John asked her. She told John that everything is so perfect between them right now, they shouldn't ruin the focus of their relationship.

"A wedding would be so stressful and Jennifer just wants to enjoy this phase, falling madly in love and getting a thrill if the other one texts when they are apart."

However, despite being taken aback by Jennifer's refusal, John is determined not to let her decision affect their romance, and still thinks they have what it takes to go the distance.
The source added to Look magazine: "John told Jennifer she is the girl for him and he is sure of it. He is willing to do anything she wants as long as they are together. He is like a different guy.

"John was over the moon when Jennifer took him back last month and he never wants them to be apart again. He really wants to settle down with her. He wants children, marriage - the whole thing at some point."

Brad Pitt: They're trying to kill us!

Nov. 20 -- U.S. Hollywood star Brad Pitt, who raises six children with partner Angelina Jolie, revealed becoming a father has toughened him up and ensured he can cope with anything.

The "Ocean's Thirteen" actor is "impervious to poo, snot, urine and vomit", and he has no plans to shirk his parental responsibilities, even if it kills him.

"They're trying to kill us! They really are," the star of upcoming film, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" joked with Oprah on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Wednesday.

"We'll get them to bed and one will show up about a half hour later. I know they've got shifts, they got it worked out."

He said: "I'm tough as nails. I'm impervious to poo, snot, urine, vomit. You can't get me. You cannot break me down."

Brad, 44, also revealed he and Angelina don't often take their brood shopping because it is such a struggle to get everyone organised.

He added to US TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey in an interview which will air today : "We don't go to the mall. It's like a half-an-hour just to get everyone buckled in and make sure they've got their snacks, and Zahara has got a blanket and Shiloh's got her silky.

"Angelina is militant about it. She's right on top of it. Thank God, because I'm always forgetting something!"

Meanwhile, Angelina has revealed she only breastfed her four-month-old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline for the first three months because she struggled to cope with feeding the babies simultaneously.

She said: "You think, 'Ah, if anybody can do that, I can do that.' There's this football hold - it's a lot harder than it looks in the books. I did that a few times. I would take turns. It just takes a long time."

Singer Justin Timberlake watches a drive during the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada, Oct. 15, 2008.

Nov. 18 -- Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are reportedly set to move in together after he purchased a 5.5-million-U.S.-dollar apartment.

The 27-year-old singer is said to have bought the lavish residence in New York's exclusive TriBeCa district, which comes complete with high ceilings, wall-to-ceiling windows and an open plan bedroom, and is keen to set up home with his 26-year-old girlfriend.

A source said: "Justin has finally closed on the deal. He is thrilled to be living in such a trendy area of New York and thinks it will make the perfect first property for him and Jessica. They will be moving in over the next week."

Cast member Jessica Biel attends the premiere of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, California, July 12, 2007.

Jessica picked out the ring, along with a diamond bracelet also from the 70s, at a tiny, unmarked shop in a cobbled street near Via Condotti, Rome's most exclusive shopping street.

Shop owner Nicola Boncompagni said: "I could tell they had very refined taste because they asked about the history of all the jewellery. They seemed shy but in love."

Angelina Jolie plans to "fade away" from Hollywood

Actress Angelina Jolie addresses the Council on Foreign Relations during a symposium on International Law and Justice in New York, October 17, 2008.

Nov. 14-- With six kids to watch over, Angelina Jolie unveiled to media that she plans to fade away from acting to spend more time raising her family.

"I don't plan to keep acting very long, I'm ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day," the Hoolywood movie star told the British broadcaster in an interview posted on the BBC website on Thursday.

Jolie and her partner actor Brad Pitt have emerged as a Hollywood power couple, and together they have three biological children and three adopted children.

She says her new film helped her get pregnant.

She said: "I got pregnant right in the middle of shooting and I think partially because of the film. I was so emotional about children that I think something in me kicked into gear."

Angelina also admitted she considers her ever-expanding brood in everything she does, adding: "The centre of my life is my kids."

The 33-year-old actress - who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt - believes she wouldn't have conceived twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline if she hadn't starred in new movie 'Changeling', in which she plays a mother whose son goes missing.

In response to a question about whether she will give herself a "cutoff point" for acting, Jolie said she would make no pledge to completely stop acting.

Jolie, who stars in the movie "Changeling" from director Clint Eastwood, said she has not worked on a movie for a year. Apart from starting a project in February, she said that she will probably not work again for another year.

"So maybe it will be once a year and then maybe it will be once every three years, and then just naturally -- I like being home a lot these days," Jolie told the BBC.

Jolie, who earned an Oscar for her supporting role in the 1999 movie "Girl, Interrupted," would not be the first actor to talk of walking away from it all at a young age. Last month, "We Own the Night" star Joaquin Phoenix, 34, said that he was retiring from acting to focus on making music.

Nov. 11 -- High School Musical mania has hit Australia, with hundreds of screaming fans turning out in Sydney to see stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale on the red carpet.

Young children, teenagers and their parents packed out the Greater Union cinemas and lined George Street in the CBD for the premiere of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year."

Some fans had been there since 8 a.m. to get a front row position in the hope of nabbing an autograph, a photo or just to catch a glimpse of the Disney stars.

Cheerleaders warmed up the already excited crowd, and when the Hollywood stars arrived the screams turned from loud to ear-splitting.

"It's very overwhelming," said Hudgens, dressed in a cream BG Max Azria gown. "It's incredible though, the fans are so amazing."

Cast member Ashley Tisdale poses at the premiere of the movie "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" at Galen Center in Los Angeles October 16, 2008.

Hudgens received gifts of flowers from admirers, as well as a large box of Tim Tam biscuits. "They're my favorite," she said. "It's so sweet, it's the little things that count."

High School Musical series follows the story of basketball captain Troy (Efron) and brainy but shy Gabriella (Hudgens) who discover they have a secret passion for singing and try out for the student musical.

In the third and final film, the students hit senior year, having to make tough decisions about their future and putting a question mark over Troy and Gabriella's relationship.

Efron, who is also Hudgens' boyfriend off screen, inspired some of the loudest squeals from the mostly female crowd.

He said it was a bittersweet experience to be leaving High School Musical behind. "I love being a part of High School Musical, I wish I could do it forever but everyone's got to grow up," he said.

Efron is set to star in a remake of the 1984 dance film Footloose next but said he's also keen try other movie genres. "I'd love to try it all," he said. "I'll see where the wind takes me."

They will walk the red carpet again in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Madonna's "gorgeous" A-Rod

Nov. 14-- Madonna says rumored lover Alex Rodriguez "has the heart of a poet trapped inside an insanely gorgeous body."

The 50-year-old singer who was first romantically linked to the baseball player, nickname "A-Rod", earlier this year before announcing her divorce from Guy Ritchie - has reportedly been gushing to close pals about the sportsman.

A source said: "Madonna is smitten with Alex. She told a close friend that he has the heart of a poet trapped inside an insanely gorgeous body."

It has also been claimed Alex has regularly been sending the mother-of-three "love notes".

The source added to the New York Post newspaper: "Alex has been writing Madonna these sweet, personal and rambling expressions of his feelings - sort of like old-fashioned love notes."

It was recently claimed Alex is so keen to make his relationship with Madonna work that he is moving in a bid to be closer to the singer.

A source close to the sportsman said: "A-Rod was living in an apartment on Columbus Circle, five blocks from Madonna's New York base in Central Park West. But now he wants to move three blocks north to 15 Central Park West - meaning he would only be two blocks away from Madonna."

China quality watchdog says latest-tested milk powder safe

Nov. 14 -- The latest quality inspections of Chinese milk powder show the products continuing to meet new temporary limits on melamine content, the country's top quality watchdog said on Friday.

They are the 17th round of milk powder quality tests for the industrial chemical since the scandal of the tainted baby formula that left more than 50,000 babies ill broke in September, according to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ).

Melamine, an industrial chemical often used in the manufacturing of plastics, was added to diluted milk or other foods to make the protein levels appear higher.

The latest tests covered 101 batches of baby formula from 17 brands produced in seven provinces, as well as 117 batches of other milk powder products under 30 brands manufactured in nine provinces nationwide, including leading domestic producers Yili and Gucheng.

To date, 1,746 batches of baby formula under 82 brands produced in 17 provinces since Sept. 14 were tested and all were in line with the limits, according to the GAQSIQ.

China set the temporary limits last month. They stipulate a maximum of 1 mg of melamine per kg of infant formula and a maximum2.5 mg per kg for liquid milk, milk powder and food products containing at least 15 percent milk.

Unhappy people watch more TV

Researchers at University of Maryland have found that unhappy people spend more time watching TV than happy people.

Nov. 16
-- U.S. researchers found unhappy people spend time in front of the television 30 percent more than happy people, according to media reports Sunday.

The finding, made by researchers at University of Maryland, comes from a survey of nearly 30,000 American adults conducted from 1975 to 2006.

While unhappy people spent more time in front of the TV, happy people were more socially active, voted more, read more newspapers and attend more religious services. The study found 51 percent of unhappy people were more likely to have unwanted extra time.

The lack of effort required probably accounts for why TV watching takes up more than half of Americans' free time, the study said.

But perhaps the pleasure brought by watching television doesn't last.

"These conflicting data suggest that TV may provide viewers with short-run pleasure, but at the expense of long-term malaise," said researcher John Robinson, a sociologist at the University of Maryland, College Park.

The study suggested that staring at the television could push out other activities such as exercise, parties and other forms of socialization known to have lasting psychological benefits.

Kate Winslet's wrong look

Actress and honoree Kate Winslet poses at the 16th annual BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia awards in Los Angeles Nov. 1, 2007. The awards are given out by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts/Los Angeles (BAFTA/LA) to outstanding talents in the entertainment industry

Nov. 4 -- Kate Winslet didn't think she would ever be famous because she was "fat."

The Oscar-nominated actress - who can soon be seen starring alongside Leonardo DiCaprio again in new movie "Revolutionary Road" - was worried she wouldn't fit in to Hollywood because of her plus-sized figure.

She said: "This is going to sound really weird, but I never had a desire to be famous. I never had huge ambitions - never. I was fat. I didn't know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I'm being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else.

"And I still sort of have that. I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort."

Actress Kate Winslet gestures as she accepts the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year at the 16th annual BAFTA/LA Cunard Britannia awards in Los Angeles Nov. 1, 2007.

The 33-year-old actress - who has an eight-year-old daughter Mia with ex-husband Jim Threapleton and a five-year-old son Joe with current spouse Sam Mendes - also revealed she finds it difficult to maintain a low profile while she is taking her children to school.

She added to Vanity Fair magazine: "You know why I fear people's judgment? Because I know they're judging. I know they are. You know, these mothers are going to read this article and they're all absolutely great, but I know when I walk into that classroom in the morning, even if it's for a split second, at some point I'm being checked out.

"And some of them will even say to me, 'OK, what's the secret with the skin?' At which point I'm like, 'Oh my God, there's no secret. I have make-up on. And by the way, since I turned 30, I've had an acne problem on my chin. I'm just like everybody else - I just know how to cover it. If you'd like me to show you how, I'd be more than happy.' "

Angelina Jolie: I'm just a punk kid with tattoos

Actress Angelina Jolie speaks at a meeting about education for Iraqi children held by the Council on Foreign Affairs in Washington April 8, 2008.

Nov. 4 -- She's a cover fixture on newsstands across the world, but despite the praise for her style, beauty and activism, Angelina Jolie still identifies herself as being an outsider.

"I am still, at heart – and always will be – just a punk kid with tattoos," she told the December issue of Britain's Harper's Bazaar, as excerpted by the UK's Metro newspaper.

Though her moves across the years — and her romances — have attracted a host of headlines, the mother of six said she has no need to defend her past.

"I don't walk around feeling I need to apologize or explain myself," she told the magazine.

Angelina is featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar UK edition, out on Thursday, under the headline "Angelina Up Close."

In the interview, to promote her new film, "Changeling," Angelina said she has chosen her acting parts, thus far, based on whether she’d want to come face to face with the character in real life.

"I tell stories that are about the type of woman I'd want to meet. The type of woman where I think, even if it's silly characters I’ve played, like in Tomb Raider, there’s something about her that will be fun for my daughters to see one day," she said.

And while characters like Lara Croft wield knives and swords, Angelina said she and partner Brad Pitt explain the difference between the big screen and real life to their brood.

"My kids play video games. I let them play with toy soldiers. We don’t take war and violence lightly, but we don’t hide it from anybody," she said. "We say, 'Mommy and daddy have movies where we play these characters, but there's real death and violence in the world.'"

Celine Dion cancels concert because of a singing ban

Canadian singer Celine Dion performs at the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City Aug. 22, 2008.

Nov. 4 -- Celine Dion has cancelled her scheduled concert in Chicago tomorrow night, after doctors banned her from singing for five days.

The 40-year-old singer - who had a special humidifier built to protect her throat during her Las Vegas residency from 2003 to 2007 - is unable to perform because she has been battling a nasopharyngeal infection, an infection in the upper respiratory tract, for the past week.

Celine has rescheduled the concert for December 16 but she is still set to perform on November 7 in Ottawa, Canada, as part of her 'Taking Chances World Tour'.

The singer recently revealed she and her 66-year-old husband Rene Angelil will try for another baby after she finishes the tour.

Celine, who welcomed son Rene-Charles into the world in 2001 after having a series of fertility treatments, is keen to extend her family, but will not be too disappointed if the process doesn't work.

She said: "We are going to give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we are pregnant again. I have a small window of hope. But we have been so blessed already. We tried six years for Rene-Charles. We have our miracle baby."

Kylie Minogue wants to be comedienne

Australian singer Kylie Minogue smiles as she poses for photographers with the OBE she received from Britain's Prince Charles for her services to music at Buckingham Palace in London July 3, 2008

Nov. 4 -- Kylie Minogue wants to be a comedienne.

The "Wow" singer - who shot to fame as mechanic Charlene Ramsay in Australian soap "Neighbours" - is considering a return to acting and would love to show off her comic side.

She said: "I'm starting to think acting would be good - I'd love to do a comedy.

"I've done a few little comedy bits and pieces as a guest and I love it. It's so much fun. It's where I come from so I'm very comfortable to go back to that."

The 40-year-old star insists she would be a natural choice to take on a light-hearted role.

She added: "It's not well known that I'm funny but I am. People who know me will tell you."

Kylie has also revealed she hated feeling as though she had to choose between acting or singing when she moved into pop in the late '80s.

She added: "I started out as an actress and I thought if I was lucky that would be my career, because it's notoriously difficult to do well.

"Then I started singing and I was in that weird space where people say 'You can't be a singer, you're an actress.' Then after a certain time they're saying, 'Well you're a singer, you can't be an actress'.

"I hate that! I hate that! If you're creative there's no reason you shouldn't work in different mediums. Recording and being a performer, time rolled by and I was pushing and pushing to see how much better I could become."

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer's love song

Nov. 4 -- It was another sweet date night for Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer.

The lovey-dovey duo hit singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne's concert last night at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles.

"After the lights went down, they walked to their seats," an eyewitness tells me. "They were with two bodyguards and three other women."

It appeared that they had an entire block of tickets, because no one else was in their row, and three seats were left empty all night.

"They were hugging, but there wasn't any kissing," my source says.

"If you haven't heard Ray LaMontagne yet, you owe it to yourself to check him out," Mayer blogged on his official website earlier this month. "I've seen him twice in the past two weeks and I can't get over how powerful he is. He's so pure, it's arresting. People ask me all the time what artists I'm listening to, and what I think of certain singers or bands out there. I think Ray LaMontagne is as brilliant as any artist that has ever lived."

Also at last night's gig was Justin Timberlake. He, too, didn't take his seat until the lights went down.

No word if LaMontagne's A-list fans will return to the Wiltern on Sunday for another one of his shows.

Attorneys propose rules on videotaping Lindsay Lohan deposition

Nov. 4 -- Lindsay Lohan would give a videotaped deposition under strict limitations in gal pal Samantha Ronson's lawsuit if a tentative agreement proposed by Lohan's attorneys is approved.
Ronson is suing New York lawyer Martin Garbus for allegedly mishandling a defamation lawsuit she filed against celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, who reported she may have provided cocaine found in Lohan's car following a crash in Beverly Hills. The lawsuit against Hilton was eventually dismissed.

Lohan is concerned her deposition would become public. The eight-page proposed order, filed Thursday by Lohan's lawyers, would limit who could see the video or the transcript. It is subject to approval by other lawyers in the case, including those for Ronson.

If all parties are in agreement, a hearing scheduled next Thursday on Lohan's original motion to prevent her deposition from being placed on video will be canceled, although Ronson has a similar motion regarding her deposition that is set to be heard that day.

Garbus' legal team calls Lohan "a critical witness in this case" because her car accident gave rise to the defamation action. Lohan is not a plaintiff or defendant in the lawsuit.
